WBC-I Chair-Type Whole-Body Counter
The Chair-type Whole-Body Counter is designed specifically for internal radioactive measurement and provides reliable data for the health protection of relevant personnel. It is composed of the hardware system (including the whole-body measurement unit, thyroid measurement unit, shielding structure, electronics unit, etc.) and supporting software, which can simultaneously measure gamma radiation in the whole body and thyroid. The system automatically analyzes the measurement results and provides information on the types and activity of radioactive isotopes in the body. In the case of confirmed internal contamination with radioactive isotopes, it can also provide information on the committed dose that the person has received.
The Chair-type Whole-Body Counter uses NaI(Tl) detector as the detection unit and self-developed analysis algorithms for low-resolution gamma energy spectrum to achieve the perfect combination of measurement speed and accuracy. Additionally, sitting measurement posture ensures the comfort of the subject. The well-designed software enables the operator to achieve “one-click” measurement and to easily perform operations such as data storage, data query, data export, and report printing.
