ZXP-1 Radioactive Aerosol Suppression Device

The Radioactive Aerosol Suppression Device consists of a mobile trolley, a spraying pump, a liquid storage tank, a hose reel, a spray gun, a power battery, and a control panel. It is used for the suppression of radioactive aerosol contaminants.

During operation, the spraying pressure of the pump draws the strippable sol from the storage tank into the pump. After pressurisation, the sol is delivered through the piping and sprayed out via the spray gun. The sol is well atomised upon discharge, allowing it to be sprayed into the air to suppress radioactive aerosols. After settling, it forms a film on the ground or equipment surfaces, which encapsulates and fixes loose contamination. Once the film is peeled off, the fixed loose contamination can be removed along with it.
